Hot Honey Pizza Road Trip: Twelve U.S. Menu Stops

A pizza menu can give a trip a loose theme. Start with a square pie in California, compare goat cheese and arugula in Austin, and finish with two different square crusts in Brooklyn. Hot honey connects these dishes, but the pizzas are not all the same.

These twelve stops come from restaurant menus checked in October 2026, not a taste-tested ranking. Build a few into a trip that suits you. Confirm the location, hours, menu and ordering arrangements before traveling; a published menu does not guarantee that a dish will be available when you arrive. The photographs are stock illustrations, separate from the featured restaurants and their dishes.

Square Pie Guys: San Francisco and the Bay Area

Square Pie Guys’ menu lists The Big Von with white sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni and Mike’s Hot Honey. Mush-O-Roni uses red sauce, mushrooms, pepperoni, the honey and grated grana. Despite its mushroom name, that second pie contains meat.

The restaurant serves Detroit-style square pizzas and has several Bay Area locations. Select the branch you intend to visit rather than treating the shared menu as one pickup address.

Mountain Slice: Tahoe City, California

Mountain Slice’s menu describes The Burrata with black pepper, garlic, house-made burrata, basil and house-made hot honey. Its specialty-pizza section offers New York and Detroit styles.

Confirm this stop directly before traveling. The site displays an October 5–30 closure notice without a year alongside ordinary hours, so the page does not establish whether the restaurant will be open on your trip date. The menu example is a reason to inquire, not a confirmed booking or availability report.

Pizza Rock: Las Vegas, Nevada

The Las Vegas menu places The Motown in its Detroit section. It combines several sausage preparations, including hot-honey sausage, with red onion and house-made hot honey.

Sweet Hot Honey is a separate California-style pizza with hot-honey sausage, vodka sauce, mozzarella, house-made local hot honey and basil. Use the full dish name: the menu also contains pizzas with other honey preparations, and a generic “vodka pizza” description could lead you to a different pie.

Hanny’s: Phoenix, Arizona

Hanny’s food menu lists Hot Honey Pepperoni with red sauce, pepperoni and a hot-honey drizzle. Jalapeño is an optional addition.

The menu does not name the honey brand.

Hawt Pizza Co.: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Hawt’s menu lists Bee Sting with pomodoro, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, Mike’s Hot Honey and basil. Brooklyn Basement uses pepperoni and house-pickled sweet-heat jalapeños with the honey and basil.

The page identifies Santa Fe and Albuquerque locations and gives Santa Fe separate phone-order instructions. Check the selected branch and its current arrangements. A shared menu does not make every location’s service identical.

Toss Pizzeria & Pub: Austin, Texas

Toss’s Hot Honey Farmhouse combines pepperoni, mozzarella, red onion, goat cheese, crushed-tomato sauce, arugula and a hot-honey drizzle.

Goat cheese and arugula distinguish it from a basic pepperoni pie, but they do not make the named pizza vegetarian. Check the branch when planning your Austin stop; the restaurant lists more than one location.

The Tipsy Tomato: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The food menu linked by The Tipsy Tomato lists a Hot Honey pizza with ricotta sopraffina, pepperoni and a hot-honey drizzle.

The restaurant’s own site identifies its Oklahoma City location. The menu PDF has no printed publication date, so treat this as a dated menu observation and confirm the current offering before you go.

Bud’s Pizza & Beer: St. Louis, Missouri

Bud’s Aloha pizza includes ham, bacon, pineapple, jalapeño, banana pepper, hot honey, mozzarella and marinara.

Pizzeria Portofino: Chicago, Illinois

Pizzeria Portofino’s menu lists Charred Pepperoni with Ezzo pepperoni, mozzarella, Mama Lil’s peppers and Portofino Hot Honey.

The restaurant names its own hot honey here. If you are comparing condiments as well as crusts, keep that detail with the dish; the menu does not establish that every restaurant in this guide uses the same brand.

Good Pizza: Cleveland, Ohio

Good Pizza’s Cleveland ordering menu lists Pepperoni Pizza finished with basil, grated Parmesan and hot honey. White Pizza instead starts with a lemon-ricotta and crème-fraîche sauce, with garlic, cheese and the listed finishing ingredients.

The sauces provide a comparison without changing the restaurant. Use the restaurant’s own site to check its current ordering link and location.

Iron Born Pizza: Pittsburgh area, Pennsylvania

Iron Born’s Millvale menu lists Spicy Pie with red sauce, spicy soppressata, pepperoni, banana peppers and Mike’s Hot Honey. The menu describes its pizza as Detroit style.

Use the restaurant’s location page when choosing your stop. It identifies Millvale as takeout only and separately lists its Strip District location in Pittsburgh. The Millvale menu is not a promise of dine-in seating or identical offerings at another branch.

Krispy Pizza: Brooklyn, New York

The Brooklyn menu distinguishes Pesto Roni, a thick-crust square with cupped pepperoni, pesto and a hot-honey glaze, from Hot Honey Roni, a thin-crust square with cupped pepperoni, tomato sauce and the glaze.

“Square” alone will not tell you the crust thickness here. Choose the named version and the Brooklyn menu rather than carrying its description over to another location.

Build the trip around a few stops

Choose two or three restaurants near a trip you already plan, allow time between meals and save the correct location links. Ask each restaurant about ingredients and preparation if you have dietary restrictions. A vegan-cheese or gluten-free option elsewhere on a menu does not make a named meat-and-honey pizza vegan or establish protection from cross-contact.
